President's Message

October 2025

Dear Counselor,

Welcome to our school year 2025-26.

Before we look forward, I would like to reflect on last year.  Unfortunately my efforts to engage more hosts for our meetings were not successful.  Many colleges are hurting financially, restaurants have become expensive.  Therefore I am once again asking :

1. If you have an opportunity to engage someone who might be willing to host us please pass on their contact information to me and I will follow up.

2. We need to increase our attendance.  It’s difficult to engage a college to put in the time and effort to arrange a meeting for only a handful of counselors.

Going forward:

During the summer I was fortunate to connect with Stacy Kovalycsik who represents Penn State. She is very enthusiastic about hosting a meeting for us as follows:

Date: November 20, 2025 (Thursday)

Time: Registration :  4:00-4:30

           Presentations by Penn State

            Business meeting:  UCSCA

        Dinner

Place:  Spanish Tavern, Rt. 22 E, Mountainside, NJ

I look forward to a good turn-out, doing our part.  Penn State is putting forth time and effort to do theirs.
